With Dreamforce 2024 wrapping up in style last week, it’s time to take a closer look at the innovations and announcements that were highlighted during the Sales Cloud Keynote, as well as individual sessions and booths.
Sales Cloud remains one of the most popular Salesforce products, so it should come as no surprise that overall platform enhancements keep being developed to further boost both the seller as well as admin experience.
1. Next Wave of AI: Agentforce for Sales
Salesforce highlights that the third AI wave following predictive AI and copilots is Agents – instead of predicting outcomes and helping with tasks, why shouldn’t AI simply get the job done for you and your team?
While Agentforce is meant to conduct tasks across any LOB and Industry in the end, when it comes to Sales Cloud, Salesforce has unveiled two readily available Agents that you can quickly set up with clicks, not code, directly in Setup: SDR Agent and Sales Coach Agent, which will become GA in October.

Powered by the new Atlas reasoning engine, your SDR Agents can discern and respond in a conversational manner to Leads you choose to be in scope based on criteria. Even more so, the autonomous agent can be trained just like you would a newly hired SDR as long as you share the files it should be aware of in order to be able to answer certain questions prior to scheduling a meeting with an actual rep. Additionally, the agents can communicate automatically in the prospect’s language, so you don’t have to worry about translations!
Even more so, Salesforce provides instant monitoring and auditing capabilities for you to track your agents in real time. When conversations are still in progress, you can open them and see exactly what is being discussed, with the option to take over the conversation at any point.
On another note, the Sales Coach Agent works with the rep to maximize their potential and provide real-time insights and recommendations as conversations progress during calls. Following the call, suggested actions are immediately surfaced for the Sales rep to accept and action if necessary.
On-call coaching is not the only use case for the Sales Coach Agent, as each rep can have their personal agent help support the preparation for the call as well. They will be able to conduct role-play sessions after which they will receive immediate non-judgemental feedback, which includes positive highlights and areas for improvement. Isn’t that handy?
If you didn’t attend Dreamforce in person to get hands-on with Agentforce, you can also do so from the comfort of home! Build your first agent by following the steps highlighted in this Trailhead Project to see exactly how impactful it can be.
Agentforce comes along to complete the already existing suite of features available within Sales Cloud, which together can supercharge and transform previously manual processes in no time!
From automated activity capture to meeting summaries and guided selling, your reps can be empowered to focus on what matters most – building meaningful customer relationships toward achieving the common goal.
Customer revenue processes are complex, and more often than not entail manual and offline work. Salesforce has brought every tool companies may need to succeed under the one Revenue Cloud umbrella, which aims to fully automate the revenue lifecycle in a new simplified user experience and modernized UI.
While Salesforce CPQ and Billing are not going anywhere, Revenue Cloud is a product built to include the key components for a robust quote-to-invoice process, across all channels with AI infused across the board!
The unified solution your team was looking for is now generally available to optimize the entire performance management process, from planning to paycheck. Salesforce SPM brings together Sales Planning, Sales Programs, and Salesforce Spiff as a unified offering right with your CRM.
While operations teams will surely appreciate that they have all the tools they need to plan and deliver at their fingertips, SPM is something Sales Managers are bound to enjoy as well right from the get-go.
As a speaker highlighted during an SPM dedicated session at Dreamforce, when it comes to their commission, every seller becomes a Data specialist – while using the features included in SPM, such as the commission calculator, they won’t have to, as the answers to all their questions will be right within reach!
Generally available in the Winter ‘25 releases, Sales Cloud Go is a reimagined setup experience for all customers who want to make the most out of their implementation, and ultimately make setting up any feature easy.
Not only will Admins be able to track progress for any features they already started enabling, but they will have bespoke recommendations that can relate to their goals for the org through Feature Sets. Discovering new features will generally involve going through and finding documentation and additional details, but with this enhanced experience everything is available on the same page.
Depending on the feature, Admins will be able to either take a tour, watch a demo, and have all the mandatory and optional steps for each functionality clearly highlighted. Also, if they choose to enable a feature that requires dedicated permission sets, they can be assigned right through here, removing the need for data imports or navigating to other Setup areas.
On top of the individual features and streamlined setup experience, Sales Cloud Go helps Admins easily monitor adoption through a dedicated dashboard, which deep dives both at the product and of course feature level.
