Why Agentforce Adoption Is Slower Than Expected – And What Salesforce Needs to Do
It really is no secret that Salesforce has been trying to push Agentforce ever since its official launch last year, but how far has it actually come since then?
In February, Salesforce revealed it had secured approximately 5,000 deals for Agentforce – 3,000 were paid customers, while 2,000 were still trialing the technology. It’s important to note that many of these purchases may be part of larger bundles, suggesting that customers could be paying for packages that include Agentforce without actively using the product itself.
Despite Marc Benioff’s optimism around the platform, Salesforce’s Chief Financial Officer, Amy Weaver, expects “modest” sales of Agentforce over the next year and that the company’s overall sales would rise 7% to 8% – its slowest ever growth rate.
Over time, Agentforce will likely mature into a product that’s affordable, offers clear enterprise value, and includes better usage guidance. However, expecting all these improvements simultaneously is holding back the growth and positive image Salesforce aims to project.
Key Advice for Getting an Entry-Level Salesforce Job in 2025
The Salesforce job market has been tough to break into for a few years now, but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible. In fact, if you’re prepared with the right tools, skills, and knowledge that employers want right now, you will set yourself up for the best opportunity at succeeding amongst the competition.
Here is some advice you should take on right now as an entry-level Salesforce professional:
- Get Some Quick Wins and Sell Yourself: Learning how to sell yourself on your resume and which achievements to highlight helps employers know the best about you from the get-go!
- Be Specific and Don’t Rely on LinkedIn: Be specific about the kind of job and industry you want to go into and reach out to hiring managers directly instead of just relying on LinkedIn’s mass application procedures.
- Don’t Say You’re New (in the First Line)!: Never write on a cover letter or application form that you’re “a newly qualified admin looking for my first Salesforce job”. Instead, talk about your transferable skills and the kinds of companies you have worked for, and, ultimately, be confident and sell yourself.
What Do Trump’s Tariffs Mean for the Tech Sector?
Earlier this month, US President Donald Trump announced significant tariffs on imports from various countries, including China, Mexico, and Canada, aiming to reduce trade deficits and bolster American manufacturing. What does this mean for the tech sector?
The impact of these tariffs spread far and wide, with the most notable being increased inflation, consumer prices, and perhaps most worryingly, global trade wars. Global finances and the stock market have already been affected heavily by this news, with JPMorgan very recently announcing that the global recession risk increased to 60% from 40% as a direct result of these tariffs.
These tariffs could significantly affect the sector by increasing the costs of imported components like semiconductors and hardware, potentially raising prices across the board for both consumers and companies.
Everything You Need to Know About MuleSoft for Agentforce
MuleSoft for Agentforce is one of the shiniest new offerings to come out of MuleSoft, having been announced at this year’s TrailblazerDX. But what is it, and how does it work?
MuleSoft for Agentforce is an integration platform designed to enhance Agentforce. By enabling seamless integration with external systems through APIs and connectors, AI agents can access and act upon data across various platforms.
On a more granular level, MuleSoft unlocks data by connecting and integrating various applications and systems – whether cloud-based or on-premises – through APIs and pre-built connectors. This is done using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform and Anypoint Code Builder.
Ahyoung An, MuleSoft’s COO, is pledging a dedication to accessibility for all, secure governance, and intelligent automation, which will really help with getting MuleSoft’s customers up to speed in an agentic future.
